"What if.....Dave was the best man? and he....still went through with it...what would you do?" Torrie asked in tears.

Soraya slowly started to understand why Torrie was always so quiet through the day.

Torrie looked at Candice, before she started to cry.

"I felt so scared, Candy...I thought...I was gonna lose him today! I really did! in my heart...how fricking terrible is that that I was waiting for it! and kept looking at the clock!" Torrie cried burying her head in her hands.

"I just didn't know what else to do? I tried...for Katie to keep strong, holding on but I was so scared..then when I heard the door slam it felt like a bullet in my heart because I felt like the walls were tumbling around me" Torrie muttered crying, while she leaned down in Candice's lap.

Soraya looked at Torrie, with sympathany.

"I can't even begin to imagine what you were going through, Torrie. If anything were to happen to Matt..." Soraya trailed off. "But at least we know now, that John's okay. And you were really brave, standing up to Trish like that."

Candice nodded her agreement. "You gave her the what for!"

"I let my heart believe though....that's just terrible to think that way" Torrie added, while she started to calm down when she felt Candice's hand on her blonde hair.

"I think you were just so scared you couldn't let yourself believe." Candice assured her. "I don't think you really doubted John would be okay, it was just the fear taking over."

"Yeah," Soraya said. "Fear can make you forget to be strong. I thought I was going to die from my cancer for awhile because it was so scary, but once I realized I was getting better, I believed I'd make a full recovery. And now you can believe that John's going to be just fine because you've seen for yourself...the Hero will fight another day."

Torrie nodded as she smiled a little at her two old friends.

"Yeah I guess, but....one day it will be happen..and he could die" Torrie muttered.

"Tor, life is full of surprises...it twists and turns but one thing you can count on, that John...just can't die, i mean he's been shot, stabbed, knocked over and still he's here..." Lilian spoke as she smiled at little at Torrie.

"You never know what fate can do either, but one thing we'll always be right here for you" Lilian spoke taking Torrie's hand, as she looked at Candice and Soraya.

Katie cried as she sat on the beach then made a run for it. She kept running until she saw Torrie. Katie couldn't lose Torrie as her best friend and it upset her that she let her own feelings take over and didn't think about how hurt torrie was.

Katie went up to Torrie.

"Torrie." Katie muttered.

Torrie smiled at Candice, Soraya and Lilian until she heard a soft voice. She looked up to see the bride standing there "I got nothing to say to you" Torrie spoke as she turned away.

She looked down.

"You're the best friend I ever had please Tor, I'm really sorry." Katie said.

"Torrie I'm sorry, I really am. I just got stressed out and wasn't thinking, I was worried before about you and John. Everything has been full of chaos today and I couldn't help but explode, I shouldn't have blamed you though because it wasn't your fault." Katie said.

"No I can't walk away until I know that we're okay. I'm not saying you have to completely forgive me because I was being a selfish bitch today. I wanted a perfect wedding and lets just face it nothing is perfect. I don't want to lose you as my best friend Tor, I really don't. I can't enjoy the rest of this day unless I know that you will consider being friends again. I'm really really sorry." Katie said with tears in her eyes.

"I know I've been an idiot all day, I should have realized something was wrong with you and pulled you aside to see what was going on and be a good friend and help you and comfort you. I should have been a better friend to you today instead of being a bitch and only thinking about myself. You didn't have to sacrifice John to come here but you did and I never thanked you for it." Katie said.

"Thank you Torrie, thank you so much for everything." Katie said.

Torrie just gulped as she kept her eyes down on the sand underneath her feet.

"I...don't...know what's happening to me Katie?" Torrie slowly muttered with tears forming in her eyes.

Katie slowly stepped towards Torrie then slowly gave her a hug. She wanted to be a good friend to her for the first time today and knew Torrie needed comfort.

A few moments later, Torrie gently hugged Katie back before she buried her head into Katie's shoulder.

"I'm so..sorry, I didn't mean...to ruin everything" Torrie said, with tears falling from her eyes.
