Finding the Strenght to Move On

[Tessa Ray Hickenbottom]

Tessa sat on the beach and wiped the tears from her eyes. She'd been home for a few months now but she still battled with her heroine addiction. She sighed as a shadow began to hover over her.

[Triple H]

"Hey Kid," Hunter Helmsley stood just behind her. "Mind if I sit down?"

[Tessa Ray Hickenbottom]

"Sure." Tessa muttered, trying not to let Hunter see she'd been crying.

[Triple H]

Hunter folded himself down to sit Indian style on that sand. "So," He said gruffly. "Shawn said you've been having a rough time."

[Tessa Ray Hickenbottom]

"Big Mouth." Tessa thought

"You could say that." Tessa told.

[Triple H]

"You want to talk about it?" Hunter said. "Or do you just want to sit here and feel sorry for yourself?"

(i.e. He's not being mean lol he's going to motivate her through anger, cause let's face it, anger can help you survive, as well as faith of course )

[Tessa Ray Hickenbottom]

"I don't even know what to say, I can't even think straight anymore." Tessa spoke.

[Triple H]

"Well, why don't you start from the most obvious part, what's your biggest problem that's affecting everything?" Hunter said.

[Tessa Ray Hickenbottom]

"Teresa got me addicted to heroin and even after rehab I still can't kick the habit." Tessa told.

[Triple H]

"Well, they say the first step to fixing the problem is admitting you have one." Hunter said. "So tell me, if you don't want to be addicted, why are you fighting harder?"

[Tessa Ray Hickenbottom]

"I'm fighting as hard as I can but I just....need someone else's support and that person hates me now." Tessa told.

[Triple H]

Hunter frowned. "Who are you talking about?"

[Tessa Ray Hickenbottom]

"Shawn." Tessa said softly.

"He won't have anything to do with me." Tessa told.

[Triple H]

Hunter chuckled. "You think so? Then why do you think I'm sitting here? Who do you think sent me?"

[Tessa Ray Hickenbottom]

"He won't even look at me Hunter!" Tessa said.

[Triple H]

"Because he doesn't know how to help you!" Hunter told her. "Tessa, you won't let him. You've got to fight back against this addiction with everything you've got. Instead of being angry with him, be angry with what's been done to you, and fight back. Believe in yourself, in your own strength and kick this addiction in the ass. That, he can support you in."

[Tessa Ray Hickenbottom]

"I wanted his help and he threw me out!" Tessa yelled.

[Triple H]

"He threw you out because you relapsed and shot up!" Hunter glared. "He'll help you fight the addiction Tessa, but he won't support the habit."

[Tessa Ray Hickenbottom]

"I don't mean then, when I first came home I came to him because I needed an adult to get into rehab and he kicked me out!" Tessa said as she started to cry.

[Triple H]

"He kicked you out because you were shooting up." Hunter explained. "You have to prove to him that you want this, Tessa. Prove you want to be clean, and he'll support you."

[Tessa Ray Hickenbottom]

"I just...I want my pappy back." Tessa spoke.

[Triple H]

"Then you have to show him you can do this, Tess." Hunter said. "You've got to show him that you're strong enough to be his little Angel again."

[Tessa Ray Hickenbottom]

Tessa nodded.

"He's the only reason I'm still here."
