A couple minutes later Matt put his fork down on his plate when he finished.

"That was great." Matt said with a smile.

Soraya had finished hers a couple seconds prior. "I'm so glad you liked it."

"Alright all I need is the check then." Matt said with a smile before he pulled out his wallet.

Wth a contented smile, Soraya signaled for Antonio and after assuring him dessert wasn't necessary this year, he brought them the check.

"I hope your Birthday was more pleasant than the last few, Belle." He said, depositing mints on the table for them. "It was nice to see you laughing again."

"Thank you, Antonio." Soraya flashed him a wide grin that made him falter, it had been so long since he'd seen it. "It was a wonderful meal, as always."

"Happy Birthday, Belle. And Good evening, Senor." Antonio said before returning to the kitchen.

Matt put a tip on the table then filled out the receipt. He smiled at Soraya.

"Ready for your surprise?" Matt asked.

Matt stood up then pulled Soraya's seat out for her.

"Lets go." Matt said with a smile as he put his hand out for Soraya to take.

She slipped her hand into his and grabbed her purse in her free hand. "Where are we going?" She asked, rising to follow hi out of the restaurant.

He pulled a blindfold out of his pocket.

"You need to wear this so it doesn't spoil the surprise." Matt said with a smile.

She chuckled. "Seriously?" She took the blindfold from him and sighed, before using it to shield her eyes from view.

Matt took Soraya's hand.

"I promise I won't make you bump into anything or fall." Matt said as he led Soraya to his car.

Matt stopped at his car then picked Soraya up and put her in the passenger seat before buckling up her seat belt. He got into the driver's seat then started driving. 20 minutes later Matt stopped.

"Are you ready to see your surprise?" Matt asked.

Matt chuckled before he got out then helped Soraya out of the car. He looked at beach he brought Soraya to. It was getting later so stars were in the sky but spot lights were on exactly where he wanted them to be, on the beautiful heart formed with roses on the sand. There were also candles lit around the roses.

"Then take a look." Matt said before he took the blind fold off of Soraya.

It took a moment for her eyes to adjust to the light, but she recognized the sounds of water crashing on sand and knew she was at the beach. Then she took in the roses and the candles and felt her heart swell with love.

"Oh my God," She breathed. "Matt, it's beautiful! You planned all this?"
