"Good," Kayla smiled. "I got lots of homework to do" She moaned, but grinned happy that John is back.

He watched Kayla go back upstairs. A soft voice drew his attention.

"Are you okay?" Torrie asked.

Torrie stepped closer to John, and held his hand tighter. "I'm always gonna be here for you, you'll never gonna be alone I swear" Torrie said with a small smile.

Torrie looked at John, before she unlocked the cabinet and pulled out a black gift box and extended to John.

"You got me a box, thanks honey" John spoke.

"Look inside it" Torrie said as she playfully rolled her eyes.

Torrie smiled as she watched John open the box to reveal his usual silver dog tags laid in a silver bedding.

"Surprise," Torrie spoke with a smile.

Torrie looked at John, "Read the back," Torrie spoke to him.

Torrie lowered her eyes for a moment, before she looked at John.

"You're not gonna leave again are you?" Torrie asked as she had tears start to show in her eyes, she needed John to hold her and assure her he's here till the end.
