Shawn stared at Torrie.

"He will still live and wake up any second." Shawn lied with a smile on his face.

Torrie's face just crumbled as she knew when Shawn is lying.

"You're lying! Shawn...no! He can't..leave me he promised" Torrie cried.

"I'm so sorry, Torrie.. but sometimes this world can be very cruel" Shawn said with a soft breath trying to fight the tears in his eyes.

"Why does..god..think I can deal with this! If you think I can take the pain god! WELL I CAN'T!" Torrie shouted before she felt Shawn pull her in for an tight hug.

"Torrie, honey it's going to be okay" Shawn soothed the Boise Belle.

"How?! John's gonna die..and I can't do anything but watch him slip away" Torrie said with tears falling from her eyes.

"Shh he's always going to be in your heart alright, you'll always have him watching over you" Shawn gently muttered stroking her blonde hair.

"But...I'm not gonna have him beside me, I'm not gonna experience the way he loves me again, I'm never gonna kiss him again, or hold him or see...him smile...at me" Torrie cried in her heartbreak.

"I know, but you have your memories"

Torrie shook her head while she embraced her silver necklace, John brought for her "Please...there must be something you can do" Torrie pleaded with the doctor.

"I'm afraid not, he's just not responding he could arrest any minute I'm very sorry but I can't tell you a bright side to this" He spoke to Torrie.

"But...I love...him..." Torrie stuttered in her tears.

"I'm ever so sorry" The doctor spoke.

"Torrie, John wouldn't want this you know him he hates when he relies on something else's strength"

"So what...are you saying?"

Shawn lowered his head down. "You let John go, and rest in peace..."

"No...I can't do that" Torrie stuttered in her tears.

"Torrie that's all the choices are okay, you don't want to hurt John do you?"

Torrie shook her head with a sniffle.

"Then let him go sweetheart" Shawn gently uttered.

Torrie lowered her head down to the tiled floor, she closed her eyes for a moment and different flashbacks entered her head. Hers and John's first kiss, then at their wedding day. Her head leaning on John's chest as they watched the sunset together, everything little simple thing that just broke her heart because she realised she'll never experience anything with John again.

"No,"

"Torrie,"

"He's still breathing"

"No he's not, Torrie the doctor has explained that" Shawn spoke gently trying not to hurt Torrie as much as she already is.

"Well he's wrong, and you're wrong Shawn" Torrie spoke.

"No..I'm not..." Shawn spoke trying to stop himself from crying.

"Yes you are, I'm not letting you kill my husband when he's still breathing" Torrie spoke as she looked at the doctor with tears in her eyes but she remained strong.

"But..Torrie you know he's not..."

"Yes he is!" Torrie spoke, she turned her head to John with tears in her eyes. Seeing him motionless on the bed broke her heart but she did her utter best to remain the fighter he made her be. Holding unto the strength he had given her, keeping her faith strong.

"As long...as there's a heartbeat I'm not letting go, and letting you take him away from me" Torrie muttered staring at the doctor before she turned on her heel and walked away.

The doctor looked at Shawn.

"I'm sorry doc, you just don't understand how much John means to Torrie" Shawn sighed.

Torrie continued to run until she found herself outside in the pouring rain. Torrie fell down to her knees when she slid down a wall outside with tears falling from her eyes. She continued to cry against the wall, befroe she looked up at the sky closing her eyes when she felt the rain fall down on her face, and drip down through her sweet blonde curls.

"Please..don't...take him away from me" Torrie pleaded in the rain.

She then felt a black jacket been put around her shoulders, she looked up to see.....

Hunter draped his leather jacket over Torrie's shoulder and gave her a look of sympathy. "You're going to get sick out here."

Torrie watched the rain fall on the concrete. "I..don't...care..." Torrie stuttered in her tears.

Randy looked at Katie "I'm gonna find out how John is doing" he said to Katie.

"I hate being stuck to this stupid bed, they had to put an IV in my arm and tell me to rest." Katie said.

Torrie just turned her head away from Hunter, and closed her eyes with tears falling from her eyes. While she cried in pain and in the rain.

Randy closed the door, he walked down the corridor and saw Shawn sitting on the chair with his head in his hands.

"Shawn, you okay?" Randy asked.

Randy's eyes widened as he took a seat next to Shawn.

Torrie gently touched the black jacket on her shoulders pulling it closer to her body. She turned to Hunter with tears in her eyes.

"Oh come here sweetheart" Hunter said when he watched her beautiful face crumble.

Torrie just fell unto Hunter's chest as she continued to cry.

Torrie lowered her head down, while she turned over the dogs tags in her hands and read the inscription "Ill be right beside you XTorrieX. A tear fell down from her eyes unto the tags.

"What if it's already too late?" Torrie asked between cries.

"It never too late, alright we're not letting go of John...and he's not going to either"

"But you didn't see....you didn't see he wasn't moving anything just lying there...what if I am putting him through pain?" Torrie asked sofly.

"Oh jesus, Shawn put that away you're gonna get thrown out of the hospital that's all that's gonna accomplish" Randy sighed.

Kayla sniffled while Dave had his arm around her, Candice gave her a hot chocolate since she had been freezing and in the rain for a few hours.

"I'm fine" Kayla muttered.

Shawn turned around and glared at Randy.

"I'll pretend you didn't say that so I don't have superkick you on the day your son was born." Shawn said before he looked into John's room.

Only John was in the room so Shawn sneaked in with a smile then pulled down the blinds on the windows.

"Randy you're the look out make sure no one is coming." Shawn said.

Randy looked at Shawn like he was crazy.

"What are you gonna do? superkick him?" Randy asked while he tried to stop himself from crying seeing his best friend lifeless on the bed.

(Remember Kayla is the one that wakes john up lol, everyone else loses hope lol)

"Shawn, seriously leave it to the professionals" Randy spoke seeing Shawn turn into some kind ritual.
