Brushing her blonde hair, before she applied her clear lip shine to go over the shade she decided to use today. dressed in dark jeans, with silver glitter belt with a purple top with straps, a purple scarf around her neck, and her black velvet knee boots with her jeans tucked in.

Torrie smiled, at her look before she walked into the hallway. She gently knocked on Lindsay's bedroom door.

"Lindi, honey" Torrie muttered, she and John had taken her in a few weeks ago when Torrie had stumbled on the little terrfied girl.

Lindsay looked up from her Edgar Allan Poe Poetry book.

"Yeah?" Lindsay asked.

"Can I come in darling?" Torrie asked.

"Yeah." Lindsay said as she continued reading.

"Hey honey," Torrie spoke with a smile as she stood in the door way.

"Hey." Lindsay said, her nose still buried in the book.

"How are you?" Lindsay asked, still reading.

Torrie walked to the bed, and gently kissed Lindsay on the temple.

"I'm good thank you, how are you?" Torrie asked, she was amazed to see Lindsay still into her book, Her daughter Kayla is into music, make up and boys.

"Good, I've been reading all morning." Lindsay said, still not taking her eyes off the page.

Torrie looked at Lindsay.

"Ooh! wow you're definitely different to Kayla...she's into music, make up and what drives John crazy..Boys" Torrie spoke with a faint laugh.

"I've always been a reader, Poe and Shakespeare are my favorites." Lindsay said.

"Aww I used to love Shakepeare, especially Macbeth and Romeo and Juilet".

Lindsay looked at Torrie, before she smiled widely she really did come to love to Torrie and John, she finally found a place, and hearts where she belonged.

"Listen to this one." Lindsay said.

"God aren't you the little smart literture, anyways I was wondering I'm going to Mall I thought just you and me could go? spend sometime together" Torrie spoke with a smile.

"I can get you some more books, and spoil this cutie rotten" Torrie spoke bringing a giggling Lindsay in her arms.

"That would be nice." Lindsay said.

"No books could ever replace the ones I have though, my mom bought them for me." Lindsay said.

Torrie looked at Lindsay.

"Darling I will never try and replace your mother," Torrie spoke softly.

"If you don't want to go I'll understand," Torrie muttered.

"No I want to go." Lindsay said.

"It'll be fun."

"Alright okay, There's a huge libary in the market street I'm sure you'll love to become a member" Torrie spoke with a smile.

Lindsay smiled.

"Yeah." Lindsay said.

Torrie looked at Lindsay, before she smiled.

"Well go and get ready then," Torrie urged with a gentle giggle.

"Okay." Lindsay said.

Torrie stared at Lindsay.

"Good, wrap up warm darling it's pretty cold outside" Torrie spoke before she left the room.

Lindsay walked over to her closet, now full of choltes Torrie and John had bought her.

"Be out in a little bit." Lindsay said.

"Okay honey," Torrie spoke.

Lindsay sat down on the chair, before tying her shoes she then heard a smash. Her head immediately snapped up, scared to death for Torrie when she heard another but silence.
