Torrie smiled before she walked in the room.

"Right Torrie, can you get on the bed for me?" The nurse spoke with a smile, Torrie took off her white coat and gave it to John before she made her way to the bed.

The nurse then saw John standing there looking like he was in pain.

"Someone been in the wars?" The nurse asked as she got ready for Torrie's appointment.

"Oh christ, how are you still standing?" The nurse asked, while Torrie laid her head down gently on the pillow as she laid on the bed.

The nurse nodded as she took grabbed the cart of the monitor on it that detects the baby's heartbeat.

"Trust me he is, very strong" Torrie spoke as she smiled at John.

The nurse nodded as she smiled before she lifted up Torrie's baby pink cami up so she could out the device on Torrie's stomach.

"So you don't know the sex of the baby yet then?" John asked.

Torrie just giggled as she felt the device move around on her stomach, trying to detect a heartbeat.

"Well...no I don't think so" The nurse spoke, as her voice started to change while she moved it around Torrie's thin stomach but no one heard anything.

The nurse continued to move it around Torrie's stomach as she listened to John but was more interested in finding a another sound.

Torrie's grin faded before she blinked for a moment.

"Is everything okay?"

The nurse looked up at Torrie, while John just stared standing at Torrie's bedside. "If you excuse me for a moment, I'll be right back" She said not wanting to panic the couple. She left through the door after she failed to find a different heartbeat living in Torrie right now.

Torrie turned to John. "What's going on?" Torrie asked, while she felt the fear starting to rise.

Torrie stared at John, until she heard the door open. Her green eyes saw doctor ArmStrong come in.

"Let's see how your baby is doing in it's adventure" The doctor spoke with a small smile, hiding the potential truth of the fate of Torrie's unborn baby.

Torrie felt the coldness of the jell squeeze on her stomach before she felt it rub over her thin stomach.

"How many weeks did you say? 10 weeks?"

"She's 10 weeks on Monday," John spoke, The doctor nodded before she ran the device over Torrie's stomach, trying to find the baby on the monitor.

Torrie's eyes just looked at the monitor, with tears rising in her eyes.

"We're just...sometimes it's common for babies to hide in this early in production" The doctor muttered.

Torrie just squeezed John's hand as her eyes stared on the monitor feeling her heart start to race.

Torrie looked at the monitor before she gulped with tears in her eyes. She needed John to squeeze her hand back to stop her from crying.

"It's okay." John muttered.

Torrie looked at John, as she felt her heart start to race feeling the breath quicken through her rose lips.

The doctor looked at Torrie. "I'm sorry, there is no heartbeat Torrie" She muttered before she rubbed the jelly off Torrie's stomach.

Tears just rose deeper in her eyes hearing the heartbreaking news.

"I'm very sorry but yes" The doctor spoke, Torrie just sat there with her head on the pillow in silence.

Torrie just looked at the monitor before a single tear fell from her eyes, but no one saw it.

"I'm sorry it's common for this to happen, I'm very sorry" The doctor spoke as she pulled down Torrie's top down to her jean line.

Torrie sat up from the bed, and just took her white coat from John's hand and left the room.

"Tor." John muttered before he pulled her into a hug.

Torrie just held unto John before she fell down outside in the pouring rain as she finally started to cry.

John gently rubbed Torrie's back as he held back the tears in his eyes.

"It's okay Torrie." John said.

Torrie just latched her arms around the back of John's neck as she continued on his chest.

"How? we..lost the baby..again" Torrie muttered before she lowered her head feeling the rain pour even more.
