Hidden Weakness

[Angel]

Angel sighed as her gutair lay on her lap.

She knew what she wanted to say, but the words just wouldn't come.

She felt so lonley even though she had Brian to take care of her she could feel her will to live slowly slipping away.

She needed a friend.

Anyone?

Cody pulled into the driveway of Angel's home

He walked to the door and knocked

[Angel]

Angel walked to the door and faked a smile as she opened it.

"Hey."Angel said in a monotone voice.

[Cody Rhodes]

"What is it?" Cody spoke, knowing something was wrong

[Angel]

Angel shook her head as she headed for the closet under her staircase. She pulled her wheelchair out of it and sat down in it. She knew this would send off an alarm for Cody because everyone knew she despised her wheelchair.

"Nothing." Angel lied.

"Yeah, if it was nothing you wouldn't be getting out that dreaded wheel chair"

[Angel]

"I'm just a little weak is all." Angel said.

"That's not all of it though." Angel told him.

[Cody Rhodes]

"That's what I thought.. come on now, tell me. Tell your Coders" Cody spoke

[Angel]

Angel wheeled over to her couch and picked her gutair back up.

"Sit down, and we'll talk." Angel told Cody.

Cody sat qickly, "Let's talk"

"They time stamped me." Angel said.

"Six months to a year." Angel told him as she started to cry.

Cody tried to hold back his own tears, "Angel, no..."

"I'm so scared Cody, I don't wanna die." Angel said as she started to cry.

"You're not gonna die" Cody told, "Come on, you can trust me right" he asked, "You know I would never lie to you. You're not gonna die. I won't lose you"

[Angel]

"I can't even walk anymore!" Angel said as she cried.

[Cody Rhodes]

Cody closed his eyes, not wanting to let her see him cry again, he walked over and knelt down in front of her in the wheel chair. "It's all gonna be ok" he spoke, not realy sure, but didn't know what else to say

[Brian Kendrick]

Angel nodded as her phone rang.

the answering machine picked it up.

"Mrs Hickenbottom, this is Dr. Jacobs; I'm calling because I'm worried about you." "You haven't been to a chemo session in two weeks, you aren't going to your thererapist, and your fiance tells me you haven't been taking your vitamins; you are gonna risk your life here Angela." "Please call me back."

Angel looked at Cody, seeing the look in his eyes.

Cody lowered his headm anger coming to his eyes along with tears

He spoke in a cold and hurting tone, "Angel..."

"Cody.....I...I'm sorry." Angel said.

[Cody Rhodes]

Cody scoffed, "No, I'm sorry" he spoke monotone, "I'm sorry I thought you cared"

"Cody, I do care about you, I do!" Angel said. "I just can't do this anymore, I can't be sick like this anymore!"

Angel let her big blue eyes make contact with Cody's.

"I'm losing everything!" Angel sobbed.

[Cody Rhodes]

"Does damn sessions are for that purpose Angel! They are to make you get better!" Cody shouted

"And damn it!! You have not lost everything! I'm still here" he told looking in her eyes

[Brian Kendrick]

"You don't understand!" Angel said.

She rolled up her sleeves and showed Cody the tiny fresh gashes on her arms.

Cody closed his eyes at the sight, "Angel... why didn't tell me, you know you are my number one priority"

"I was afraid you'd be angry with me." Angel confessed.
