Broken Into Pieces

[Katie Orton]

Katie sat on a boulder near the water and wrapped her arms around her legs before resting her head on her arms. It was really early in the morning and didn't think there was anyone around. She let a couple tears roll down her cheeks as Randy cheating on her was still fresh on her mind, she felt completely broken inside. Katie felt like she could only be loved until someone prettier came along and took her place, all she was to the boyfriends in her past was a pretty face and nothing more. Deep into her misery and thoughts Katie didn't notice when someone sat down on the boulder next to her.

[Carmin Rhodes]

Carmin smiled as she held her notebook with her latest story in her hand. She noticed Katie and walked over to her.

"Hey." Carmin said.

[Katie Orton]

Katie snapped out of her thoughts when she heard a voice. She looked at Carmin and didn't say a word before she looked back at ocean, she felt too upset to say a word.

[Carmin Rhodes]

"Katie, what's wrong?" Carmin asked, noticing her bubbly friend had gone flat.

[Katie Orton]

"Randy cheated on me." Katie muttered causing more tears to fall from her eyes.

[Carmin Rhodes]

"Oh my god, Katie, I'm so sorry." Carmin said.

[Katie Orton]

"With Mickie James. Even after I told him how broken hearted I was when my ex cheated on me because he said he found someone prettier then I am." Katie said.

"I trusted Randy and he cheated on me! It's most likely because he thought Mickie was prettier then I am too!" Katie cried.

[Carmin Rhodes]

Carmin's jaw dropped. She had become close to both Katie and Mickie and she couldn't believe Mickie could be a part of something like this.

"Wow" Carmin said

"I should have known this would happen." Katie said as she buried her face into her arms and cried.

Carmin sighed as she slid off the bolder and sat down next to Katie, putting her arm around her.

"I was so foolish to believe Randy actually loved me." Katie said.

[Carmin Rhodes]

"You weren't foolish, he was to let a great girl like you slip through his fingers." Carmin said.

[Katie Orton]

Katie shook her head.

"No I was because I trusted him too fast. I knew in my heart that I should have found out more about him but I didn't." Katie said.

[Carmin Rhodes]

"It's not your fault Katie, he was stupid and heartless." Carmin said.

"Don't blame yourself." Carmin said.

[Katie Orton]

Katie whimpered as she continued to cry.

"Well I feel like it is my fault." Katie said.

[Carmin Rhodes]

"Well, it's not." Carmin told her, rubbing her back.

[Katie Orton]

"I hate that I still love him." Katie muttered.

[Carmin Rhodes]

Carmin nodded.

"Give yourself time." Carmin said.

[Katie Orton]

"I still can't believe he did this. I trusted him so much." Katie said then shook a little when a gust of wind blew threw her.

[Carmin Rhodes]

"Don't worry, you'll get over him in time." CArmin spoke.

[Katie Orton]

"I hope so." Katie muttered.

[Carmin Rhodes]

"You will." Carmin said.

[Katie Orton]

Katie looked out at the ocean and the sky still feeling broken inside, she didn't care that it started raining.

"Come on, we new to get in ot of this rain." Carmin said.

Katie sighed before she slowly got off the rock then slowly started walking but accidently caught her foot in a hole then tripped a fell.

"Ow!" Katie yelled as she grabbed her left ankle.
