"I feel like this is a my fault." Angel said.

Shelton stopped eating and lifted his head.

"I'm sorry, did I just hear you say this was your fault." Shelton said in surprise, not wanting to believe what he just heard.

"Can you explain exactly how this is your fault?" Shelton asked a bit too forcefully in a lowered voice.

"Well I don't think anyone; especially you thought that he'd do this to you, and especially the kids." Shelton said in a calmer voice.

"It's not like you grabbed his arm, clenched a fist and forced him to do it." Shelton explained.

"So how long have you been into Cody then?" Shelton inquired, sitting back in his chair with his drink.

"About a year." Angel said.

"So a while then, how long have you known him?" Shelton asked taking sips from his drink.

"About seven years now." angel said.

"we met shortly after my daughter died." Angel said.

"Oh... I see, sorry." Shelton said in a stale tone.

"Have you always liked Cody in that way, or just for the past year?" He asked.

"I think I liked him this whole time, it just took me this long to see it." Angel said.

"Ahh I see." Shelton said scooping up the remains of his meal and shoveling it into his mouth.

Shelton took a sip from his drink.

"So you enjoying the meal?" Shelton asked.

Angel nodded, looking down at her now empty plate.

'I'd say so." Angel laughed.

"Haha ok." Shelton said with a smile.

The Gold Standard flagged down the same waiter that took their order.

"Yes sir?" the waiter asked.

"Bill please." Shelton said.

A few moments later the waiter came back with a bill.

"Here you are sir." the waiter said.

"Thanks." Shelton said.

Shelton reached into his pocket and put the money on the tray.

"Thank you sir." the waiter said before walking off.

"So you ready to go?" Shelton asked.
