Torrie just blinked.

Even though he didn't know it was the right move to make, John walked closer to Torrie and gently took her right hand.

"I'll always be here to catch you when you fall sweetheart," John spoke gently.

Torrie just looked at John.

"Tor, I was scared okay! scared of losing you...you say that me getting knocked over in front of you has affected you, and it terrfied you to a place where you have never been before...well that's happened to me too" John confessed.

"What?"

"When you were shot in front of me, or did you forget that?" John asked feeling the tears rise in his eyes.

Torrie just stared at John before she turned away to the window.
